On Wednesday, March 4, The Foundation of the Diocese of Raleigh hosted its third annual Women’s Lenten Reflection. This year, we expanded the reach by partnering with Father John Durbin and utilizing the new Fellowship Hall at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Apex, hosting 200 women.
Guest speaker and retreat leader Anne Trufant passionately shared how we all might consider giving up negative self-talk this Lent instead of chocolate, aligning with the retreat theme of There is More: “God can do superabundantly more than we dare to ask, dream or imagine.” - Ephesians 3:20.
Anne weaved personal stories of triumph and struggles and how God used his word in her life performing miracles along the way. Women from 25 parishes around the diocese were in awe of her inspirational message:
“What an amazing day! Anne’s spirited presentation plus seeing so many faith-filled women from all over the diocese was wonderful!”
“I cannot wait for the next reflection!”
“Thank you for bringing this gift to us, so inspirational!”
The day was beautiful and the time was treasured. We look forward to seeing you next year!
