Fr. Price Legacy Society - The Foundation of the Diocese of Raleigh

The Diocese of Raleigh Catholic Heritage Society was created in 1998 to honor the Christian generosity of those who have invested in the future of the Diocese or any of parishes, schools or Diocesan ministries through a bequest in their Will or some other form of planned gift, such as a Charitable Gift Annuity or Trust.

In 2013, the Catholic Heritage Society was renamed the Fr. Thomas F. Price Catholic Heritage Society to honor Father Price and the many wonderful works he helped to establish and/or contributed to during his lifetime. The Foundation of the Diocese of Raleigh assumed coordination and promotion of the Society in 2019. Fr. Price Society members have a keen interest in preserving and advancing the mission of the Church well into the future.

The Fr. Thomas F. Price Catholic Heritage Society recognizes individuals who have included a parish, school, the Diocese of Raleigh, or any institution of the Diocese, in their estate plan.

As a benefactor, you are automatically a member of the Father Price Society, however we may not know of your bequest. To advise us, please complete our registration form by clicking here THE FR. PRICE SOCIETY. As a member you will receive an induction pin, annual birthday card from Bishop Zarama, and semi-annual updates on Diocesan and Foundation activities. This year’s member Mass and Reception, hosted by Bishop Zarama, will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2024, beginning with mass at 9:00am at The Catholic Center in Raleigh.

Notification is non-binding and revocable. A planned gift includes a will, trust, beneficiary designation or permanent endowment, that would result in a Catholic Entity with the geographic boundaries of the Diocese of Raleigh, receiving a monetary or tangible benefit from a person’s estate.

The Cause for Beatification

The Diocesan phase for the Cause for Beatification and Canonization of Father Thomas Frederick Price opened on March 9, 2012, with the official installation of a Tribunal charged with the formal study of the life, virtues and the reputation of the sanctity of Father Price.

Membership Opportunities

Through membership in the Fr. Thomas F. Price Catholic Heritage Society, you will partner closely with our Bishop and The Foundation in supporting the work of your parish and of our Diocesan ministries. As a partner with the Church, you will be further involved in the activities, ministries and faith celebration of the Diocese.

An invitation to an annual event hosted by the Bishop of the Diocese of Raleigh.
A Certificate of Membership & commemorative pin, emblematic of your support.
A semi-annual update regarding Diocesan and Foundation activities and future events.
