The Lewis Award committee recently announced three finalists for its 2021-2022 Excellence in Teaching Award. The finalists were chosen from 19 candidates nominated by schools throughout the Diocese of Raleigh.
The finalists are Kelly Champion, a middle school language arts teacher at Blessed Sacrament School in Burlington; Alan Johnson, a middle school science teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Raleigh; and Carrie Talton, a Kindergarten teacher at St. Mary School in Goldsboro.
The winner will be announced in March.
